I have a Finance presentation tomorrow morning ( it is 2:30 am right now) and i am not exactly feeling euphoric about it.
The Euphoric element, you will notice, hasnt carried over from the fest. And i think it is partly to blame. I missed so many lectures for it that now i am completely out of sync with what is going on in class.
I would have had a fighting chance with the other 8 papers, but Corporate Finance is not where glory lies.
Anyway.
Euphoria the festival was not as big as i would have wanted it to be, but was magnanimous nevertheless.
It was a great learning experience to say the least. And it defined the oft repeated line on B-School campuses - 'MBA is not about the books and the classroom learning'.
I think, for some one who wants to be in the business of big marketing, doing festivals like this is the perfect learning ground. From the logistics, to PR, to the Sponsorship negotiations, one does all that is required in marketing. Thinking on your feet, getting the best deal out of your negotiations, printing posters, delivering invites, ensuring coverage on all media. From the play on the 7th - The class of `84, to the Special 'Rang de Basanti' Screening and yapping with Rakeysh Mehra, to the MTV shoot of 'Kya baat Hai', the Parnab Quizzes, and finally the Indian Ocean Rock show. It was one heck of an event. We had participation from a number of B-Schools, MICA and NITIE i remember in particular coz i interacted with some of the participants from these colleges.
More later. Abhi gotto read up the solution which i have to babble tomoro morn.
